From SCMP on the bar closures:

"Asked to define “exclusively or mainly”, deputy director of food and environmental hygiene Diane Wong Shuk-han said on Thursday that if a place had 90 per cent of business selling alcohol, it “would not be disputed” that it was covered by the ban."

What about 85%? Or 70? Feels very messy.

The fucking clapping thing was a fucking trap:

HK police released this stupid video on their social media ffs.

Instead of doing the right thing, the idiot government is getting applause for not supplying enough equipment to the healthcare workers, and now we live in fairytale land, and if you clap hard enough, the virus will be frightened and go away.

"A spokesman also said officers enforcing the new ban would also consider the proportion of alcohol sales relative to food, when judging whether businesses are violating the ban."

Ha! I can imagine the police inspecting last month's books with a calculator when deciding whether to close a place down.

They would just be checking how much to increase the bribe money.

And in case anyone thinks the police wouldn't do that I would ask how the curtain bars have avoided being raided over the years.

A possibly more level headed breakdown of the clap for Hong Kong trap:
