Not a jail sentence but harsh punishment for sure..

A secondary school in Tsuen Wan confirmed late on Monday that it had suspended 14 pupils for three days, saying that they disrespected the national anthem and emblem by failing to turn up for a flag-raising ceremony.

St Francis Xavier's School said that besides failing to attend the assembly on Wednesday, the pupils had "committed disrespectful acts", without providing further details.

Media reports said some of the pupils were having breakfast in the covered playground when the national anthem began to play.

Speaking on Commercial Radio on Tuesday, Education sector lawmaker Chu Kwok-keung said class suspension was a "quite serious" penalty.

I guess this is unverified but ;_;..another comic collateral damage on the line?

Crazy vp get a grip pls, stop framing our poor kids for crimes they haven't thought of. Imagine missing the flag raising ceremony bcos you missed the time and decided to wait it out to sneak in after to avoid gettin scolded, screwing up in normal kid fashion and the adults around you go completely berserk like this.

Gee I wonder why our kids so stressed out all the time...what could it be..

3 years for conspiracy to incite subversion for booths using the protest slogan (won't repeat it here, don't need to get shri arrested for subversion) AND for encouraging people to not download the Leave Home Safe app. Guess more than a few GeoExpatters are guilty of that (and using burner phones and such). Be very afraid!
