I've heard already a few friends that they are very certain that they will leave HK if the law is enacted or slammed into the Basic law and HK becomes part of one country one system.
What will trigger you to pack your bags and leave HK?
as soon as the law is enacted
I am leaving soon my exit plan is ready.
as soon as they start arresting people with the new law.
as soon as they start whisking people over the border.
I've left already
I won't leave as don't say bad things agains the CCP and I will be safe.

I will "Wait and see" .
This shit has finally "triggered" my brain cells to think about my exit from HK (although I still love it). But then, even if I were to flee, there's another invisible enemy lurking around (Covid-19,20,21,22) so, like I said, I would just "wait and see" for now.
I've been wanting to leave since the first day I got here. But seeing how I've also lived on the Mainland for years, I doubt I'll actually end up leaving.
My exit will be as late as possible. I really do like HK but I will leave if I can't live the life I want to (Google, YouTube), aka likely to be very shortly after the law is rammed through and implemented.
Oh, that.
I've already cast my vote on your poll - " as soon as they start arresting people". During the anti-extradition protests, a few of my colleagues were arrested but were fortunate enough to be out and about after a brief stint in the prison. But an arrest under this National Security Law would be totally different ( tragic,to be exact) . So, that's it.
But like @MatthieuTofu, I want to make my exit as late as possible.
I am planning to leave this summer assuming the virus doesn't preclude it, I'll keep some investments and club memberships in case HK does better than I expect. Always good to have options. I can't complain, HK has been good to me but I am not optimistic about the future here.
If it’s the same as anywhere in China I might as well move to Shanghai or Beijing.
