Any one heard anything on the return to school front?
Any one heard anything on the return to school front?
In my opinion, unlikely on campus until at least end of September but the official date is August 16th at the moment. Schools are preparing to start virtually.

If the HKG senior managers are being briefed not to expect a general return until 4- 6 weeks +14 days, that would be Mid to End Sept before it is even considered. Lets us imagine that ( shock horror ) they are optimistic and another 4 weeks would get you easily into Mid to End October.
I make this calculation under that auspicis which states that HKG makes some headline grabbing front door prevention movement but leaves the back door ajar. Only the vaccine and its inoculations will truly save us and that is a way off. The kids ain't going back anytime soon for sure.
I really hope this is not the case. Don’t remember if you have kids yourself but the negative effect on my children during the last (and in view of the current situation) unnecessary closing was visible and not good at all.
I think there needs to be a discussion on the consequences for children not having proper school lessons for until a vaccine has been found. No matter how we’ll home schooling is done it cannot replace proper classroom sessions.
Have kid ( newly minted P5 ) and the threat of withdrawing IPad privileges normally does the trick if there is any sign of home school disruption.
The Principal at the kindergarten (local) that I used to teach at says September is highly doubtful... It seems obvious to me that various counter-measures must be stricter this time round given how much more serious the spread is now. My guess, even if things start gradually improving from now... November?
