Under existing legislation - no advertising on TV and no scope to spread the election over several days and no electronic or mail-in vote mechanisms.

Wonder if this comment from Lam is a pre-cursor for something.

Something something .... postponed because the Election commission was concerned. Guess she did not have any hand in this decision.

Hard to maintain 1 mts distance between election staff and also elderly. So the EAC is super concerned and exponential risk factor of infection and requested Carrie Lam to postpone.

What will happen in the meantime for one year? The existing LegCo can continue to operate starting again in October?

You are eligible to be registered as an elector in a geographical constituency if:

    (a) you are a permanent resident of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as defined by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Passports Ordinance (Cap. 539); and
    (b) you ordinarily reside in Hong Kong; and

Yes.. seems like they're going to push some new laws down from China around 8-12th of August.

No clue what happens to the 3-4 people who are in Legco but have been disqualified from the next election.
