UK Added To High Risk Covid Area List

Hong Kong is adding Britain to its list of countries where people are considered at high risk of getting Covid-19, a source said.

The move takes effect from October 1, and came as Hong Kong was expecting seven new coronavirus cases on Thursday.

Travellers arriving from the UK will now have to submit a negative coronavirus test result before boarding a plane to the city, and will then have to be quarantined for 14 days in a hotel, instead of at home.

“Britain is considered as having a bigger impact on Hong Kong, compared with France and Spain,” a source familiar with the policy decisions making said.

Are there any direct inbound flights from France or Spain? Also considering only residents are allowed into HK.

I don't believe there are direct flights from France or Spain and certainly there wouldn't be that many people coming from either of them but I imagine the result would be the same if the transited through Doha for example?

Twice as many cases in both France and Spain as in the UK yesterday

There are flights with Cathay and Air France to Paris but there are no direct flights to Spain...yet.
