Time to start up quarantine/isolated cruise ship services between Europe and HK? Takes 21 days and you are quarantined and done when you set your foot in HK

Would need to either confine everyone to their cabin or have some meet and greet pox party style thing at the beginning so that herd immunity could be achieved.

Sounds like some kind of sick social experiment

I saw someone online today suggesting resurrecting Zeppelin services for the same reason...

Guess I escaped HK today just in time, starting home quarantine now in Taiwan, cats made it in alive, seriously, fuck the HK government. Two hours to check in as some airport network was down, whole flight checked in manually but we left on time and landed early. Be out in time for Lunar New Year...maybe even see some fireworks, not something that's happened in HK for three ever-loving years...

On a more serious note, flight crew should be prioritized for vaccines and staff that are vaccinated would be exempt from the rules..

Saw this posted on the QT FB Group.

So it seems that the onerous new crew quarantine restrictions do not apply to overseas cargo ops.
    Seriously.

It obviously doesn't apply for foreign crew, because they don't go home. Foreign air-crew currently have to stay in a designated hotel until they receive the negative PCR result at which point they are allowed to leave on their next duty flight. Local air-crew are currently only required to quarantine for 24 hours and they are allowed to go home if they receive a negative PCR test after that time.

Once again, we see that this is an exceptionally clever and tricky virus- it can clearly distinguish between cargo and passenger planes, knows the difference between evening dining and lunchtime dining, shows a genuine preference for brown people and their brown people ways...

    We must study it further...

Maybe the government is priming for an Air China take over. Air China got 30% already just need 15% more. Some more government injection but this time in return for some equity.

Well it also makes more economic sense to restock our airline with mainland pilots once corona is sorted . I can see their reasoning . This is really too good an opportunity to pass up
