Airlines canceling long hauls in 2021

Maybe this is already being covered elsewhere. We’re still happy about our decision to stick with HK through thick and thin, but we’re becoming increasingly worried by the combination of vaccine delays, longer and longer quarantines, and now dropping flights. Are we being quietly sealed in?

Australia has a weekly cap of 4127 people allowed into the country, with 6 airlines fighting for this quota. I guess the other 5 airlines are not going to complain about this CX decision.

Other airlines are cancelling HK too. It will be very difficult to get out of here over the next few months. The few London and Sydney flights are now getting overbooked.
