His experience was probably the one many of us can get when dealing with public officials. The staff can't / don't want to confront or explain something in English so they just wave us through.

Sometimes it's an advantage, sometimes we miss out. But after being here for a while we usually learn to be conscious of it.

The vaccination centres are manned by nursing and medical staff. They should be able to manage basic communication.

    SHOULD, yes.

I have experience myself (at the Queen Mary no less) where they totally ballsed up a diagnosis as she (an A&E nurse) didn't listen to what I was explaining very clearly, and reacted only to what she saw.

You keep assuming that because it was like X for you on this one occasion, it must be exactly like X for everyone else on all 450,000 other occasions.

    That's not how probability works.

You are correct, this has nothing to do with probability.

Ok, probability is irrelevant, if you say so.

So this balls up in a statistical outlier then, therefore there will be zero other instances of people receiving the wrong vax in HK. Glad we have that fixed.

P.S. I'm curious what conspiracy theories you're going to offer for the next occurrences, beacuse there's no way they could be accidental, you've already proven that.

I leave the conspiracy theories to you.

As you say tiny percentage from the more popular vaccine. Not sure what your point is.

I read a report about an investigation into whether Sinovac attracts moving objects launched after someone walked out of the vaccination centre and got hit by a car.

More people take Sinovac in HK and a tiny % of those end up in hospital for observation. The % that end up in hospital from the Pfizer jab seems a lot less.
