Covid Test Kits - Shelf life?

This is not directly related, but I can't seem to get an answer from anywhere... The self tests that are available at MTR ( saliva tests ) and then submitted at a local health center - does anyone know how long they are good to use for? I got 4 from the MTR station last week... I'm due to submit another sample next week - will these tests still be ok for then, or do I need to get another test kit closer to the time?

Isn't it just a plastic tube? Should be good for years.

Yes, with some some sort of liquid inside... I imagined the same, but not 100% certain, asked at the medical centers but they don't seem to understand my question .

Those liquid = stabilizing solution that stabilizes collected RNA at room temperature.

They will be good for long time - I wouldn't worry if you use it within 3 months (or even longer).
