    Post Nov. 30 updates?

Have there been any clues about when the “sixth-cycle” of quarantine policy will be announced? The current policy only extends to Nov. 30th. I’m trying to book inbound travel after that, but hesitate to book before the gov’t announces whatever the next round of rules/hotels will be. Even if I wanted to book under the status quo, the hotels I’ve contacted are refusing quarantine bookings for any period after Nov. 30th.

There are some hotels taking books past November. Try the Dorsett Hotels, Nina and the Best Western Plus in SYP.

Useful tip, but I don’t use facebook and it’d take a whole lot for me to re-join.

I’m going to hold off booking anyway until things are announced. I’m naively optimistic that my 21 day quarantine will be reduced to something more reasonable in the next round.

Past experience would be to expect an announcement around one month beforehand.

Hotels are being booked already for December / January - I expect you will be able to get something once dates are announced, but might not be the first choice (and you definitely don't want some of the crap that is left after everything else goes).

Optimism is something needed in Hong Kong, but realistically don't expect much change for another 6 months or more.

The latest list has already been decided by HK govt even though not officially announced. So some of the hotels started taking reservations into Dec/January. Notably Courtyard online system allows booking into those dates.

If anyone looking to Q in Dec/Jan, no harm giving the hotel of your choice a call to see if they started accepting the bookings.

It's worth signing up a facebook account just for this. Typically, the flight bans are announced on this group about 2 days before they are officially released giving you time to rescedule before the rest. Not to mention long reviews of different quarantine hotels and help with the ISO certificates needed for overseas tests. I think you would struggle without it.
