Why would Covid have any bearing on Xi’s contract extension?

Olympics being better than Tokyo is definitely the main concern.

It is a good excuse to have everything bubble wrapped and securely packaged - so nothing goes wrong.

Are the masses involved in that ceremony or whatever it is?

I’m just not seeing the connection.

The way I look at it is.. The perception that China has, under the fearless leadership of our fearless leader resolutely beaten this American virus, should be maintained and even promoted till the lifetime contract is signed.

The Olympics is just a side show..

Are we talking about the same China that faked fireworks and hired a prettier child to lip sync at the opening ceremony in 2008? The one that takes kids from their parents at tender ages to groom them for gold medals?

You might be right on Xi but I think you’re underestimating how much the Olympics means to China.

And now back to 0 with that prelim positive airport worker... which most likely will end up getting reassigned as imported at some point in time.

This thread will go on for some time...

Wasn't it an Italian virus brought to China by the Americans. Or that was what a lot of highly aligned comments suggest last year. Anyway only China has succeeded in beating the virus

Why does the Olympic committee sully themselves by even considering China?

Do they not believe in karma?
