the simple answer is until HK aligns with what the Mainland wants then HK has adopted the wrong policy.

it would save everyone a lot of stress if they just went North and said tell us exactly what it is you need.
Where have you been? All signs point to that's exactly what they have been doing from the start, but their northern handlers don't want to open up to them yet, so they trickle vague milestones and conditions to hold off until after the Winter Olympics.

Why would you care if you are no longer in HK?

Bunch of gym employees in TST were just sent to penny's Bay after a patron was confirmed positive 2 weeks after arrival in UK.

    What?

Someone flew from Hong Kong to the UK, contracted Covid there, is still in the UK, and so they quarantine people in Hong Kong who happen to have been in the same gym before the traveller left?

    Is that what you meant?

There was also a man who had an allergic seizure due to poor hotel room condition and was only found unconscious on the floor after not answering the door for the lab test.

A bunch of QT hotel folks have found out, the hard way, about the "hallway rule". Where if you step over the threshold of the door and get caught on camera you'll be sent to penny's BAY!

And let's not forget about the French woman who did 39 days QT after her daughter tested positive midway, did 12 days in hospital (they urged her to just let her 8yo go alone), once her daughter tested out and was sent home to family friends, the mother (still testing neg), was sent off for 21days in PB...

It gets better, they qt the close contacts upto 21 days since last exposure, and now to be extra safe qt the close contacts household members for 3 days as well. Theyvare power hungry lunatics.
