Not only that, they spray the inside of your luggage and your clothes:

Will pet owners who don't hand over the hamsters be in violation of any laws? If the animals are infected with Pakistan virus why are we putting them down? Why not other person sick in the shop? Can hamsters be vaccinated (Economic Times)?

Should cats and dogs be euthanized?

Answer: Euthanizing ALL hamsters after December 22nd since hamsters can be infected with covid- can spread to other animals and humans. There are about 2000 hamsters in this group- we need to strike a balance between risk and animal lives. We need to be safe, after consulting experts, we made the decision to put down the hamsters.

This pakistan delta also exists in Europe (implication is Netherlands hamsters bring in Delta).

Mei Foo exit A (the supposedly 9-second transmission between the two Delia kids and a kindergarten teacher) has not been placed under a CTN (unlike the segment of pavement in SSP), but instead... robots

On another note my building is on mandatory testing because they dug the sewage and found Omicron. Awesome

Testing - Unlucky. My best defence in this eventuality is time - The more weeks that pass before my building is reported, the better the chance the system is already broken. Fingers firmly crossed!

RE the mask issue, an expat posting on FB last night about seeking to contest a fine they were given in Sheung Wan (my neighbour hood!).

Hello everyone! I have been just stopped by the police in Sheung Wan and they put me a ticket for not wearing my mask correctly - I was having my mask down to my chin as I was having a beer and eating in the street. I understand that you should have you mask on always, but I was eating and drinking. At the time they stopped me, I had my drink and food just next to me. Has anyone deal with a ticket’ dispute? I think this was unfair and would like to dispute it; any advise on that?

Looks to be almost certainly an overreach of the law (which is already a massive overreach of civil liberties) but I guess it's going to be hard to prove in court that you were 'eating' at the time.

I guess this also happened around Sai Street.

I was there too last night and was also stopped - completely maskless - No food, nor drink to hand - ID checked, but no fine. One might call it lucky, but I know that my practice at going maskless for all this time and the tricks I've developed to throw them off the scent definitely helped a lot.

But let's remember, this particular breed of filth, out to break up fun, are not the same filth as the common or garden cops one experiences day to day....
