Run them out of business and then buy them out at a bargain price is the strategy.

The hardware and software assets (i.e. the jetliners, ticket reservation system, flight simulators, other crew training facilities, CX building and hotel) they can get quickly at a bargain price I agreed. But the actual employees...there might not be many left. To re-hire and re-train may take some time.

If and when Swire and Qatar want to sell their share, it is more likely to be to an existing shareholder that knows how to run an airline - Air China.

No bank or SOE in their right mind would lend cash to some random "GBA" .. (I did say right mind, to hedge ..)
