It is good to see her true emotion, that of love for the glorious motherland and its eternal leader.

This is precisely what I’ve been fearing. I still can’t see HK being locked down but if this comes to fruition entire towns and villages is very possible.

I see it as an opportunity for the Chinese to be infected and bring the virus back to GZ and set off a tsunami

Well at least the current events have had a slight improvement in HK's vaccination rate. Still a way to go for HK to catch up to the rest of the world, but you can see precisely at year end is exactly when HK'ers shit their pants and started getting vaccinated again.

Except that 50% of the vaccinated HK population is with the Sinovac one.... so pretty useless...

    Bloomberg report dated 31st December.

Hong Kong will require at least one vaccine against Covid-19 dose to enter restaurants and recreational venues before the Lunar New Year

Maybe. As they burn off more of their buffer scapegoats as planned I wonder what the next excuse will be, not that they’ll likely need one until they they are actually ready to reopen, with the side benefit of having worked people up into cheering on stomping all over individual choice.

The fundamental contradiction remains you can’t both live with Covid and reopen to a zero-Covid Mainland.

To do so too early just exposes the policy dead-end so incremental non-progress is rather brilliant in its way.

Even if they offered me 3900 HKD a day i don't think i will accept it...... will not take the risk to finish in Penny's bay for 21 days as contaminated by an unvaccinated elderly.
