Bus partially swallowed by giant sinkhole at Tseung Kwan O

A bus has been partially swallowed by a sinkhole at Tseung Kwan O:

Sinkholes frequently occur when underground water dissolve carbonated rock like calcite or dolomite, although that type of rock is not so common in HK...someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Carrie Lam: "We have a strong reason to believe these sinkholes are Pakistani". Further testing will be made, until then the area is in lockdown.

probably not rock, supported on soil, and the soil can be washed away by burst pipe/underground stream

Does not look like a sinkhole... Collapsed into an underground structure of some sort.

Hmmm...I don't quite see an underground structure, just loose soil. Because if it was water from some burst underground pipe, it could have washed away the soil, creating an open space...giving an illusion of some underground structure.

Couldn't get a photo any more symbolic of where HK is at the moment.

    One big sinkhole.
