Fines for FDHs for (not) Social Distancing

I can’t count for the validity but nothing would surprise me - one month wages for these people

apparently 17 people only fined on Sunday for distancing breaches and all FDH - fucking Racist Gestapo

sometimes HK can be wonderful. Almost raised its target. I think they’re still trying to track all the FDH

Weekend crackdown alert (from a Whatsapp group):

"If any of you have a helper. Please get this message to them… Heard from a friend who is a cop that the police will be targeting helpers breaking the rules this weekend about group gatherings and not wearing masks. Maybe worth sharing to any friends you have who meet up in the parks or streets".

You don't need a "friend who is a cop" to predict what will happen... there is decades of evidence out there. Easy odds...

Know if this is genuine or the background behind it? Want to donate, but naturally want some assurances around the money going to intended target

Strange indeed. Why distancing rules are not applied on buses, MTR, markets or the long testing lines? Those places are much worse because you move around, way more chance to catch something than staying in one small group all day.

Hong Kong getting more stupid by the day.

Nothing more ironic than large groups of people standing in their own drifting exhalations at covid testing locations. 10%+ of them who test negative that day will later be wondering why they feel lethargic and have fevers. HK is now considering upping the ante and walking the entire population through these casinos.

Fines are easy money to get back for the government...... government need some extra money to pay for all these crazy numbers of compulsory testing which have been requested during 2 years already....
