Is there a backlog of testing, or a backlog of cases to be reported? We were at 58K cases two days ago: 25991 (PCR) and 32766 (RAT). Now we are at 29K cases today: 18888 (PCR) and 10493 (RAT). That's quite a drop from 58K to 29K. This is a good trend if there is no backlog of testing, or a backlog of cases to be reported. But I would rather be pessimistic than optimistic, to err on the side of caution.

The issue is whether there has been a change in the percentage of people with covid who are reporting the illness from a week ago.

Not to mention the decline in compulsory testing or even alerts to the mindlessly obedient.

I guess this explains the 300 daily death cap... can probably only be a covid death if you make it to the fridge so that your record can be chopped and faxed...

FFS! Have they not seen what other places did a couple of years ago?

I doubt it. 1 dose is almost useless and it takes 3 weeks plus about 10 days before the second dose is effective. In about a month we may see improvement from vaccination...way too late.

We are seeing improvement of vaccination rate of old folks every day because of the death rate. Let's assume there's 100 folks and they have a vaccination rate of 50%. And next day 5 die. Then it's 95 folks and let's assume only unvaccinated died, then vaccination rate is 52%.

That's a fucking grim bit of maths- and unfortunately true.

The photo of the body bags stacked around patients on ventilators / oxygen is one of the most shocking I have seen throughout the past two years. It truly demonstrates the collapse of infrastructure and total lack of planning.
