13 Hotels Released to Designated Quarantine Hotels List

13 hotels which had previously been taken over for the "new summer" isolation camps have been released back into the designated hotel list.

This should improve availability for those of you who are looking for hotel rooms in the near future.

Updated List can be found here:

Check the hotels with notes in blue - they're more likely to have available rooms.

Seems to be plenty of rooms available if you plan ahead - I have managed to make a booking in August with the Dorsett Wanchai. 181 haven't responded to my emails.

I've seen that site - very limited subset of hotels.

Do double check the cancellation policy. I got a mass email from one hotel chain stating that they had a less onerous cancellation policy (able to cancel with 14 days notice, no fee), but when I tried to book online, they still had their previous policy (cancellation with 30 days notice, and still pay a fee). No response after emailing them to clarify.

Was speaking to one hotel reservation team manager.. she told me they receive around 2000 emails per day and the reservation team can't really manage everything.. i guess the response will be understandable.. even though individually we always think its fast to response to an email.

We're about 6-12 months behind everyone else.

It will probably take that long for us to drop this quarantine BS entirely.
