Whoever paid for this hit should be asking for a refund.

The van driver (who I assume is not involved) did more damage to them than anyone lol.

Half the attackers were also overweight and falling all over the place.

And the cops were worried about terrorism during anniversaries of nothing happening and when the bosses show up at the end of the month.

    From HK01

A car crash and a shooting in Central. In the early hours of today (10), a gun battle broke out at 31A Mukou, Wyndham Street, with a number of men getting into a car and killing each other with knives, and the attacked party fired back at one point.

Police said the case involved a business dispute between two gangs and a fight over a construction site, and did not rule out the possibility of drug dealing and illegal gambling stalls operating at a profit.

Four people were arrested and two others were hospitalised and underwent surgery.

A 9mm bullet head and shell were seized at the scene of the incident, as well as nine sharp knives.

After examination by the Firearms Forensics Department, it is believed that the firearm in question is likely to be a semi-automatic pistol, but the whereabouts of the pistol is unknown. In addition, a seven-passenger car was burnt down on Kam Po Road in Pat Heung early this morning, believed to be related to the Central shooting.
At 2:30 p.m. today, Senior Superintendent Ho Chun-tung of the Organised Crime and Triad Bureau said that at 2:40 a.m. today, three private cars belonging to the First Gang stopped at the traffic lights opposite 40 Wyndham Street in Central to wait for the light to change, while two cars of the Second Gang parked behind them and at least eight people jumped out and attacked the three cars in front of them with sharp knives. One of the remaining two vehicles fired at least two shots at the knifemen.

A total of six men from the second gang were found at the scene and four were later arrested.

Police immediately arrived at the scene and found two vehicles and six men from the second gang. Three of the non-Chinese men were injured, including a 25-year-old man who had been shot in the abdomen and was still in surgery; a 30-year-old man with a head injury who was in stable condition after surgery; and a 36-year-old man with a foot injury who was treated and arrested by police. Three other men (a local man and two non-Chinese men), aged between 23 and 42, were also arrested after investigation and were not injured. Ho Chun Tung said the four arrested men were suspected of "attempted wounding" and "possession of offensive weapons".

The 9mm cartridge was found at the scene and is believed to have come from a semi-automatic handgun.

Police found a 9mm bullet head and shell at the scene of the crime, and nine sharp knives were seized. A preliminary examination by the Firearms Forensics Department revealed that the firearm in question was likely to be a semi-automatic pistol, but the pistol has not been recovered yet, so the source of the pistol is not known.

Ho said the case was purely a result of a dispute between the two gangs over the profits of their illegal activities, and the fact that the two gangs had a history of feuding and business disputes. Ho added that the police's priority now was to recover the pistol in question to avoid further bloodshed. The police also have information on the two gangs, including their sources of income, which they believe will help them solve the case as soon as possible. In the early hours of this morning, a van on Kam Po Road in Pat Heung caught fire and burnt down, believed to be one of the three vehicles of the first gang that escaped.

The incident involves gang rivalry, illegal activities and uneven sharing of profits.

Ho added that cases involving real guns are rare in Hong Kong and this is the first one this year, with only one case in Tsim Sha Tsui last year. The police take gang rivalry very seriously, especially when it involves real guns, and will take it very seriously. He reiterated that the police did not see any connection between the shooting and the July 1 reunification. As for the security work for the July 1 reunification, the police have made careful and close arrangements to ensure that all reunification celebration activities are carried out in a safe manner.

What about the moral dilemma......suppose you are a qualified Doctor and were in the car with the dash cam record. Do you drive past or get out and try and assist the injured guy

Obviously you will call 999 but how much else would you do?

When officers arrived they found six people at the scene.
So they lingered around long enough for police to arrive.

My focus is always on the inconsequential details. So this was a planned attack but if there was no red light that night, do they follow them around and try again the next day then...

There are exclusion clauses as clearly these vehicles are involved in illegal activities.

    From CLIC HK:-

Motor vehicle insurance: modified vehicle; where reasonable care was not taken to protect the vehicle; operation of the vehicle not within the law; use of the vehicle other than for the declared or specified purpose; driving while under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or illegal drugs; unlicensed driver; excess load; unlawful purpose; and unsafe condition of the vehicle.
