The marine department have released a vaguely worded statement suggesting that Jumbo may or may not have sunk.

The Chinese version uses the word "ocean surface" implying that it has capsized but not sunk

Could very well be. Maybe it's partially bouyant. At 100 metres it would be salvageable (challenging but possible).

Still no photos... the only media outfits that might have had the $$ to hire a chopper/small plane/vessel out to the site to get photos no longer exist .

Not sunk but what can they do. Try to tip it back over? Continue on its journey to the shipyard that Aberdeen is likely to say is no longer interested and not obliged to take it anymore because value is different...
