Nah, they've had enough time to get vaccinated. We should burn them all at the stake, along with the degenerates who force all these restrictions.

    Everyone grab your pitchforks!

As I said (repeatedly ;-) about 15 months ago now (and clearly I was 100% right), they should have simply let the market be the driver of behaviour.

The moronic belief that they're somewhat isolated from covid because of the bullshit restrictions is the lie of the century.

That even after millions of people 'tested positive' they still believe restrictions are the best solution only goes to demonstrate that pitchforks are simply too good for them.

Connectivity to Singapore, Tokyo, Bangkok, London, Frankfurt, New York, Jakarta, Saigon, Sydney, Dubai is all much more important then Zhongshan or Qianhai.

Why? Same question for David Webb to he fair. I know you are probably not going to have a not-Trumpy view on HK affairs and all..

But seriously, HK is a conduit, / transit point for business and not a destination these days.

Both are as important and are separate issues.

How fucked are you if your chief executive can't even cross the border to talk about re-opening the border?

What was he thinking? Going there uninvited I assume?!? Very unpatriotic to not think of the damage his virus carrying self would do to our country.

Brave to even hint that he can do *anything* to reopen borders...

The CE pointed out that Hong Kong must strive to stay connected with the mainland and the rest of the world, but at the same time make sure the vulnerable are protected against Covid-19.

However, he stopped short of saying whether there’ll be any decisions on quarantine-free travel between the SAR and the mainland.

“This virtual meeting will also talk about our connection with the mainland. Of course, during our discussion, we will weigh out different options.

“To avoid confusion, I think it’s not appropriate to disclose details at this stage. But we will actively consider any options,” said Lee.
