and now you'll have 1000s of local saying/complaining why the Gwailos get special treatment, why they allow to do QT at home instead.

His parents say he can't deal with confined spaces, but apparently 12-14 hour flights to and from the US are no issue? Even if he was in an Emirates Suite, it would be smaller than an HK hotel room. This seems like parents who saw a potential way out of quarantine, and were upset they didn't get their way.

Also, getting a decision 2.5 hours after the start of the next business day isn't that bad. Ideally it would have been granted beforehand, but do they expect a fully staffed health department at 2am?

Confused shit posting aside they had 1) asked for clearance well ahead of arrival. 2) you would expect that there are medically qualified people in charge of making decisions and 3) what planet do some of you confused people live on?

A couple of more things for the permanently confused idiots ...

    Staffing was not an issue

After the family of four landed at 3pm, the mother and another son went to the quarantine hotel while her husband and their nine-year-old stayed at the airport.
And for those who claim to be from the US of F'ing A ... you should consider this. Your trumpy arses would looking for automatic rifles with a side order of freedom fries if you had to deal with the basic f'ing issue of rights and liberties ...

She added: "Given he was born in Hong Kong, his father is a Hong Kong citizen and this is his home and he has a legal right to return, we were surprised by this line of questions."

Also, NO ONE ... at least NO ONE who I know (i.e. identifiable) has not voiced some of the arguments the confused clowns have on here...
