These guys were one of the people doing the most to encourage HK to be a little less wasteful in terms of education and actually taking action.

Don't worry lots of room left in the country parks, which is where they're found from my observations...

Appears that this is some sort of lease issue and they're working with the recycler to relocate somewhere...

BUT ..... "LAND SHORTAGE!!!" - so we must strike a balance and we must keep the epidemic under contol.

    (From today's press conference)

Like all things in HK... There is a Singapore angle.

Meanwhile, Singapore reportedly acted fast to invite the representatives of a Hong Kong-based recycling plant to visit the city-state and discuss setting up operations there. The plant had been informed by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation that the lease of its Yuen Long plant would be terminated.

What a shame to close it. HK is so behind in going green and care about the environment.
I try not to buy those drinks in bottles or carton, but occasionally still buy it.

Aw man I hope this isn't true :'(... cuz even though I don't live there anymore, Sg actually had to reclaim land for living space and we're still buying water supply. Unless they're paying us millions of dollars for rent, there's probably a better use for the land and amount of clean water needed to run recycling operations.

Singapore have a very clear strategy at the moment which is to poach every HK company through tax and other incentives. We have way more land but no strategy.
