Quick question for those who have done the "test and go" PCR test at the HK airport as an inbound passenger - how quickly do you get notification of the results of that PCR test if negative, or is there no notification at all?

If the results are quick e.g. a few hours, would prefer waiting for that negative notification (touch wood) before meeting anyone. No info regarding this on the Govt websites...

    Thanks!

Landed at 5 pm, text with negative result at 9:45 pm.

The notifications for the 3 PCRs have also been much faster than last return on August.

Depends on the time of arrival. I arrived at about 5PM and had the notification @ about 10PM.

My new helper came in on Oct 2. They just test you and let you go without a result. You get a result later by SMS, maybe at night or in the next morning.

I doubt you will get a notification quick enough at the airport for you to wait and leave. Also remember that public transport options from the airport are very limited right now.

Are arrivals just coming through the old fashioned A or B exits or are they still shuffled via A exit to cordoned off area to be placed on public transport? Havent been for a couple of weeks so dont know the latest set up.

There’s no cordoned off area. Come out of baggage claim and it’s back to the old days - Airport Express, taxi queue, etc all as normal.
