Blackstone Inc. President Jonathan Gray will no longer attend the event because he contracted Covid and Chief Financial Officer Michael Chae will go instead, a Blackstone spokesperson told Bloomberg News.
And in other news the FS has tested negative and is heading back.

Not sure in what light anyone was supposed to interpret this.

Well HK is still fucked compared to every other country on earth. Nowhere else is a negative RAT required to board a plane. Hilarious to see HK tripped up on its own fuckery.

I'm doing some late night reading and I'm almost certain that Chan tested positive on his PCR test. Notice that the press release:
    1) Does NOT state that Chan tested negative
    2) States that Chan will not be eating, for some odd unspecified reason

    Earlier, SCMP reported:
"Lee earlier stressed on Tuesday that his finance chief would enjoy no exemptions and undergo a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test on arrival. Chan will have to isolate himself if he tests positive."

    So, what's going on?

Recovered... It's a wink wink nudge nudge .. you are positive but not positive enough. Based on what I recall the previous health sec mentioned - we should not be considering CT values, as positive is a positive.

(But we can also say that the govt has come to it's senses if it applies the same rules to everyone...)

Also the conference will go on even if there is a T8

    The Standard..

Nonetheless, what is most puzzling is the absence of senior mainland financial officials. If someone like central banker Yi Gang or regulatory commission chief Yi Huiman had undertaken to come in person, it would have been all the better.

Perhaps mainland officials are currently preoccupied with more urgent business at home after the 20th Chinese Communist Party congress.

Is this what’s meant by rule of law?
