Oh shit, didn't read it. Then I hope they can't link it to anyone residing in Hong Kong.

As much as some of you guys might want to shitpost... Don't .. just don't ...

“The national anthem is a symbol of the country, the playing and singing of the national anthem is a solemn ceremony. Athletes representing Hong Kong, China in international games and competitions shall fully reflect this spirit to preserve the dignity of the national anthem.”

The Hong Kong government has also expressed its displeasure over what happened and demanded that the HKRU launch a detailed investigation.

Reminds me of this... except the Kazakhs took it in better humour!

(They played the Borat version at some tournament in Kuwait )

It's so cute how a little jingle gets old men's panties in such a wad. Priorities.

Thanks for the correction, I also thought it happened in HK and was quite surprised, as it would certainly mean locking up and throwing away the key along with the dem legislators... hope that person will be safe.

I see in videos some officials appear to have to be hiding their faces, as I guess they know if they get caught reacting in the wrong way there would be trouble...

The team apparently displayed the wrong reaction during the incorrect anthem incident. They should have somehow acted with more indignation e.g shaking their fists at the sky and jumping up and down

"Members of the teams showed no response during the incident," said lawmaker Junius Ho Kwan-yiu, "which is a humiliation to our country."... "the only solution is to dissolve the Hong Kong rugby team."

Bla bla. So unpatriotic to throw our own rugby team under the bus right away, total poison to our country. He should be dismissed from his public role.
