Exclamation An end to outdoor masks?

Maybe, possibly, considering forming a committee to look into idea of perhaps thinking about....

Sources say the government is reviewing the feasibility of relaxing anti-epidemic measuresHongkong2022-12-08 09:51:17HongkongIt is reported that the SAR government is reviewing the feasibility of relaxing various epidemic prevention measures.(All-media data map of Dagong Wenhui)Dagong Wenhui full media report: The mainland announced 10 new epidemic prevention measures yesterday (7th), further optimizing and implementing epidemic prevention and control measures, including home isolation for asymptomatic and mild cases. The re-optimization of the epidemic prevention measures in the Mainland will promote the further relaxation of epidemic prevention measures in Hong Kong. It is reported that the SAR government is now discussing reducing the time of close-contact home quarantine; further relaxing the entry nucleic acid test and replacing it with a rapid test; canceling the mask order in outdoor places, etc. In addition, the Hospital Authority may explore relaxing the discharge criteria, etc. There were 11,981 new confirmed cases in Hong Kong yesterday, including 11,278 local confirmed cases and 703 imported cases, a new high in the past nine months, and 22 more deaths. It's obvious that the govermment should drop mask mandate EVERYWHERE, let people do what they want, 90% of people will still wear masks EVERYWHERE, which is fine just let people do what they want and the government will stop looking like arseholes. It's a win win for everybody if they did this but government too stupid to see it.

They couldn't care less what the people think of them though. I mean, it's not like they can get voted out. The only thing that matters is what Beijing thinks of them.

Not sure as I haven't seen the official press release but if it's like when I arrived, you get your test results after you arrive home or at your hotel - you can quarantine there if the hotel will allow it (even if the hotel is not a designated quarantine hotel).

Given that its common to see locals running outdoors with a mask on, in areas where there are almost no people. I tend to agree, 2029 they will still wear mask.
