The hospital announced late Sunday that a piece of false ceiling, measuring approximately 60 centimetres by 31 centimetres, fell off at the treatment room of a female general adult psychiatric ward at around 8 pm and hit a nurse.
She was sent to the Princess Margaret Hospital for a check-up after feeling mild pain on head, and it was confirmed the pain was not serious.
The hospital has expressed sympathy and will assist the staff concerned

It added that the patient service was unaffected, and the incident did not involve structural safety.
Urgent repairs and inspection to the same devices in the hospital was arranged and no abnormality was noted.
