HK standard has photos of large pieces of concrete in an office, with corroded rebar indicating concrete spalling, will not be long before someone is killed!

Imagine if it had happened over a government fax machine....
And it continues.. things still falling down from above ;_;
Hospital Authority "apologizes" for raining concrete, but implies the fault lies with the contractor it employed and supervises! also HA slipped in a confession for concrete falling in toilet but this time at tuen mun hospital.
they say they will inspect all hospitals within a month, no way they could properly inspect millions sqm within a month! Of course the press didn't question that, how to remove false ceiling to inspect concrete, and disinfect afterwards when all the public hospitals are essentially fully occupied.
note that the HK standard sneakily changes and updates their web content

correction; they said ceiling feel down in tuen mun, didnt mention why the ceiling fell down, i guess it was concrete
There's been a lot of leaks/ burst pipes in the public hospitals. I'm guessing that didn't help the ceilings of the floors below.
here is another, this time queen elizabeth hospital

Not been updating this thread.. but there has been non-stop news about something or the other going wrong in the HA over the last several months. Everyday...
Today's news:
https://www.thestandard.com.hk/break...tion/4/203867/Thick smoke was seen billowing from the men's bathroom at the Yung Fung Shee Memorial Centre East Kowloon Health Centre located in Kwun Tong at 8 am today and was dense enough to affect the patients awaiting consultation in the lobby.
The police were contacted, and firefighters arrived at the scene to deploy a water jet to extinguish the fire.
Services were temporarily suspended during the fire, and no one was found injured during the incident.
After investigation, it was revealed that the fire was caused by a short circuit in the exhaust fan in the men's bathroom.
