Happy that there is an enlightened Gatts on this planet to practice his polite vocabulary and teaches his unmatched wisdom of the only truth and facts to such lowest of common denominators

But hey, you are still around. Can't be too bad then

Seems quite enough money yet to be made yet to fill it with new people coming and the same salty "expats" lurking here still, maybe for the lack of greener pastures?

Oh yes, all these hordes of new people and "expats" coming in from the Mainland, and even they can't get a job in post-2020 HK:

One gotta appreciate your selection of articles with the selective examples
While they feed your "it's all over" narratives and apparent, somehow amusing frustration with the developments of these times, seems like 360,000 applications within the first 8 months were filed, with 230,000 approved (and 150,000) come. Not too bad

Had the British not brought it up, perhaps China would have left things alone just like they did with Macau. Their priority was Taiwan.

The world turns toward the NYSE as a global indicator, still, and for a long time to come. China's economy with its youth unemployment and aging population will reach a point where they can't hide the actual state of things within the next decade.

Hilarious how you always try to wave away concrete testimonials and numbers as "selective" and never dare to take the time to read the actual articles. If you would have the capacity to not only read the SCMP, but the government sponsored link you shared yourself, you would have read that government can make talent schemes and talent "rankings"all they want, but they don't actually account for jobs on the ground, which as the many testimonials and numbers show are just not there anymore. With the current business exodus, the reality is indeed that the situation is now very different to the pre-2020 era HK, sadly no more.
