Umm, depends. For example, Joshua Wong was serving time for umm "other offenses" like rioting and such. Don't think he is the only person who committed other crimes. Pretty sure this sentence is consecutive. I think he's been sentenced a few times, always a few more offenses.

See my other comment. Not all of them were on remand as at least Joshua Wong has been serving for other offenses. They are way ahead of you. Look at Jimmy Lai, for example, been a few trials he's had already for different, uh, stuff.

Edit, just looked up Joshua Wong's earlier sentences and can't figure out if he was in or out of prison at the time of NSL arrest. Seriously, need a scorecard here.

The best tracker is here.... but you need a VPN to see it from within HK since it contains views which upset the Emperor.

Thanks for that, it is, indeed, a scorecard.

not sure you meant this as sarcasm but one of the main issue is of course that nobody knows where the red lines are on a going forward basis

Which is if course exactly what they want. If you don't know where the red line is you stay over cautious

Hemlock has a good summary, no need for VPN yet.

If you want to be further depressed, read about the Jimmy Lai trial.

Took over 100 years for HK to be one of the best places for finance, and only 4 years to be displaced to several notches above the bottom.
