No... actually the other part of this post was to like his cancel culture-style suggestion of closing eyes to different perceptions, quite telling of one's mindset

Also to you a Merry Christmas!

And insulting me (is this some kind of new civilized etiquette?) doesn't make you any smarter nor makes you "win the argument"... I actually feel sorry for you

Btw. plenty of people enjoy it here and don't run around with doomsday fear mongering and sad smileys on their faces every day... if you don't and feel the need to constantly imbrue your negativity on others, then that's quite pathetic, but in the end also your own mental problem... you won't change it for those that are positive and optimistic

    Merry Christmas!
I feel perfectly happy, but I find it interesting you call sharing factual articles about Hong Kong "doomsday fear mongering", and call me out for it. It is obviously not my fault that news about HK is so negative these past few years. Is the truth that scary to you?

HK is in a unique position. I'm surprised it's only number 3 considering the things in its favour.

Before wasting more lifetime on each other:
you (spend much time to?) look for the negative news, the specific tweet or editorial affirming your view and highlight them (with the comical emphasis on each occasion to brand them as the only and absolute "facts" in your black and white world)... I cite some positives... difference between a pessimist and an optimist

Anyhow this thread was exported to discuss about the GFCI ranking of HK, and not some sad vendettas

    Merry Christmas and chill!

Why you say Merry Christmas to every post? That's something one does 11 days in advance if one's not to be seen again until after the holidays.

So say that and leave or don't post it over and over again.

You're right. I've already done that with that crazy FrancisX character. But at some point I feel discussions are pretty sad if one has too many on ignore

If you really think one has to specifically "look" or search negative news on HK in the absolute shit-show that HK news has been these past 5 years, you're even more deluded than I think you were. But then again I'm talking to someone that mistakenly thought Russia was not the aggressor in the Ukraine invasion. I can sense you're frustrated about this, and any number of smiley faces or Merry Xmas'es is not going to magically cover this up.

I have asked you before to point out anything not factual in anything I have shared and you've never been able to. Instead you go on strange anti-China conspiracy theory tangents and whatnot. Says it all really.

isn't he also the poster who can't see the difference between BBC/DW and Chinese state censored media? That would explain his views on Russia and much else.

At some point with perceived encircling an "adversary" with NATO bases and "allies", then there will be a reaction which unfortunately is now the case for Europe and its taxpayers..it's a view you don't like because indeed it's clear Russia was the attacker, but again every coin has two sides, not only one in your narrow wannabe single-fact world

Anyhow, the point is that you look for and post just negative news, editorials, comments, tweets sometimes highlighting the case of an unfortunate example to somehow imbrue on everyone an image that everyone is suffering and everything is bad...but is it really? Zero good news recently for the "expats"? How about enabling MTPs for non-Chinese citizens which filled pages here in this forum?

You have yet to explain what's braindead about mentioning HKs recent GFCI ranking?

Miserable pessimism and hate, can't help it But you do you, it's your lifetime you either spend "suffering" and worrying and debating in the internet and thus losing out with your daily negative vibes... or change your life for the better (if you have the actual skillet to do) Anyhow, continue your campaign of formidable etiquette in ridiculing me or branding me as something as you like, it's your time!

    Bonne chance my little friend

The way you hold a camera and use lighting, that's the way a photo will look like...true also for taxpayer financed public media with ruling party-aligned executives and staff other countries as well But hey we are just two completely different sets of people with different views and perceptions, no need to waste your time to convince me or look wannabe smart in front of your post-liking buddies, you will have to accept the world is just more colorful / diverse with people seeing things quite differently (!) than your singular perception corridor may suggest

    Cheers!
