Fireworks were deafening last night, no point in even trying to sleep before midnight as I live across from a large park, popular and safe launch location.
Fun to watch for humans, potentially the end of the world, for cats. Cats totally exhausted this morning, sleeping off the stress...

Kung hei fat choi or Gong xi fai cai, as they say in Singapore. Sadly, I am missing all of the festivities ( Sweden doesn't do emotion or festivity like Asians do, unfortunately.) . My understanding Swede husband dropped me off at one of my regular Asian food stores ( nowhere near where we live) where I spent up a little on vegetarian dim sum, sauces, sweets, drinks etc..at the checkout, I wish the lady a Kung hei and a Gong xi...which she was sooo happy to hear. So I add my very broken Cantonese plus our Swedish and I find out that her family moved from Taiwan 9 years ago. Aiiyaaah, am I sooo homesick for Hong Kong and Singapore right now.
