JBest, I agree with you. i would like to respond to tvlover too. Oh well, I always believe that there's discrimination everywhere. This is especially when you go to a place where you're a minority. It's a fact of life that we have to deal with it. My 2 cents' worth.

Jbest : we run through this discrimination issue every few months.

And a week after that issue comes up, I need to start cleaning up. It is a volatile topic and a few people take advantage of the fact that there is a fair bit of anonymity.

I personally have no desire to get dragged into these topics and our standard practice has been to let the debate go on for a few days and then shut them down.

If you want freedom of speech, I'm sure you can get yourself a soap box which you can use in Statue Square. Not on GeoExpat please.

And if you think what we do is "big brother"ish, leave and find another online community which works better for you.

To the abusers who want freedom: We're not here to provide a platform for folks to voice their opinions in anonymity. If you do want freedom of speech, give us the full ability to disclose who you are, tell us where you work and who your three best clients are, because we'd like them to know what a nice person you are.
