Just like you can't give someone love again quickly anyone who gives three negative ratings in a row should be shown a message that sames something like - "are you sure it's them and not you.'

Well we rave about bumping into people and the infidelity question (which I'm sure has nothing to do with anyone actually posting on the site, ha ha ) is a big hit, so why not? It's not about an inconsequential aspect of the site. It's about behaviour - and behaviour is what gossip is all about. And gossip is about 80% of the reason I tune in here, since 50% of my serious questions do not get answered!!!!

I don't think we should put down someone for wanting to share love with people who have the guts to openly comment on this forum in the first place. These are the people who keep Geoexpat in business. If there are no comments coming through there is no point in visiting the site. And really, they're doing it not just in reaction to the negative comments they've been getting but generally because they actually like to hear what that person has to say. I do anyway.

I don't think many of us actually take the negative crisiticism to heart, particularly when it is childish or inane but it does make you wonder about the people on the site. As my husband asks, why do you bother?

I don't give red ratings (well very, very few and only on a post or two that I thought was highly offensive). In retaliation someone turned my one green box to red and I couldn't figure any of this out until this thread today.

I have looked at some new posters who are all red and then looked back to see what they did to get their reds by looking at posts only and at times failed to see any reason for their reds so I give them a few greenies.

Today I just went to greeny the above post and it seems I did it too often in the past 24 hours and now can't do it all.

Maybe I could have been red-dinging my pal sylvesterjay for using the term "Red rated retards" as the thread title but it actually made me laugh. Retard is highly offensive to many people who have people with mental handicaps close to them. Just kidding sylvester so don't be red rating me in return.
