    I'd spin that one round completely. Forums and social media are very quickly merging into the same thing, [edit] especially if FB has its way.

    Reddit is cool but Hong Kong version of it doesnt get much traffic and the little traffic that it does get is quite boring...

    I get most of my daily news from it though. The couple of good news subs give me an overall picture of the world and if I want to read anything deeper, I head to one of my favs (BBC, NYT or similar)...

    If that were the standard, then you let too many sniping posts slide.

    I think your actual standard isn't made to lessen sniping, but you wanted certain topic that asks good question to be clean and focused - while letting every other thread slide.
