BUG: Unable to view last page(s) of a thread.

Apologies for irrelevance to topic, I'm seeing the most serious case yet of the page number bug while viewing this thread, it seems to be getting worse! This is page 10 but there are 3 more phantom pages ahead that lead back here

But it seems there are just 10 pages to this thread. No clue how and where this bug shows up.. Some reports tend to suggest that you bccause people have others on their ignore lists or some globally ignored users have posted.

None of the above should affect my counts...

It's when posts are deleted from a thread. Somehow either the post total or page total doesn't get updated correctly.

I have to check logs. Don't think that thread has posts deleted.

Could be, but I do have to check. If that's the case the fix is easy.

I see this bug occasionally, usually on the very long threads.

The post above was one of the first times I have seen it in a short thread and the first time I've seen more than one phantom page.

Oddly, after I took the screenshot and posted, when I viewed it again the problem for that thread had disappeared.

One other minor bug I observe occasionally is when I view my own likes, it very rarely says something like "ARGUMENT UNDEFINED" all in caps in a blue link-like colour instead of my name.

That argument undefined thing is something random that happens when you have liked a post.

You're right - this is one of those threads where someone threw a hissy fit ..

Good weekend project to clean up and hopefully resolve some of this.

A hissy fit about credit card rewards?!

Those things are more trouble than they are worth!

Thats why it has been hard to track down, until you posted a screenshot - very very very helpful as it allowed me to get a view of what happened. Once a thread is viewed some background process updates a few variables and it sort of fixes itself, until something else goes wrong.

I have often come across this too.
