Why is GEO so moderated?

I dont understand why there is so much concerns by the moderators that feel the need to monitor every single thread/post with immediate thread or post deletions. Especially when the comments or posts are not vulgar or offensive (maybe slight banter). This kind of censorship is frustrating and and I assume it is why less and less active users here.

I think the rich kid peak thing could have probably been allowed to run for a bit longer but generally respect the moderation policy.

Without the moderation this place would have probably been either overrun by 50c or raided by the police by now.

If you're talking about the baller from the peak ... seemed to follow a pattern of reporting every damn post on the thread and wasting time and bandwidth. No issues with shit posted by the usual suspects... have issues when their personalities split and morph...

And if you're talking about the vaccine shit ... there are a few that feel that they need to throw in a few virology lessons and random news articles in every f'ing news thread as soon as someone asks something about a virus... Again reported...

It was to protect the other mods from having to click on posts the clown was reporting as "trolling me" etc and the innocent\s who were trying to give the clown some helpful therapy.

Replete with first world problems but I did think the Peak thread pointed out that it's really pretty inconvenient to live up there- people used to say to me how inconvenient it must be to live on outlying islands but at least we had a huge Wellcome right at the ferry terminal and a fair number of low cost restaurants and other convenient things nearby (and no big tour buses rolling through town).
