from a US IP address I got a blocked IP Message.

I noticed the same the last time I was abroad, which was 2 years ago. I am abroad now, but this time it is working fine.

No really not. Many of us live outside HK.

No - never a problem here from UK

I did used to get odd problems in the past when using a vpn.

No problem using the site from abroad. But when IP is known to be VPN, then it blocks them. But sometimes you are also lucky and it works with VPN. Probably they don't have the IP on the list.

Just to add to the feedback, site is blocked when I use U.S. VPN. Works normal when VPN is UK, Singapore or Netherlands.

I used to have a problem when using a US VPN but now it gives me the photo challenge to prove I am a human...

I think certain countries are blocked to prevent spam accounts.

I think geo will be blocked inside HK before its blocked outside.
