    GeoExpat.Com Upgrade - Classifieds Closed

Somewhere between the 25th and 26th we will be closing the site for a fairly major upgrade.

Just dropping you folks an advance warning, incase you were planning on spending Christmas Day online with a few thousand strangers.

New photo gallery software will be installed. Users who are using the galleries will be informed seperately on how the photos can be saved / moved.

New classifieds software will be in place. Many of the existing categories will be dropped or changed.

KIA - No, NOT "Killed In Action" - means that a large percentage will be "Blotto" for much of this time slot. <Grin>.

As a diabetic - limited to what I can eat *&* drink by a careing wife - I'll be amongst the small percentage who won't be soused !

KIA needs two days off to enjoy the holiday out of the whole year, give him a break.

Maybe the 7th January 2006 - aka International Internet-Free Day - would have been a good day for shut down...
