    taxes.filings for HK businesses

I am a US citizen and have been working in HK for the past year. I opened up a BR (business registration) in February of 2008 because I was thinkin about starting up a business. I am still planning on starting the business, but I haven't gotten around to actually doing anything yet. (I haven't even opened up a bank account in my company's name.)

So my question is this - Do I need to make any filings with the HK government for tax (or other) purposes for the fiscal year 2007-2008 even if there was no activity (financial or otherwise) concerning my business? Any help would be appreciated.

Also, if anyone can recommend a good small business tax accountant in HK that would also be appreciated.

What type of business did you register? A Sole Proprietorship, a Limited Company, a Partnership, or what?

Q6 in the FAQ says that you need to submit audited accounts.

Can't help with accountant recommendations I'm afraid.
