Glad to hear that. Am printing a copy and bringing it to the police department to make sure.

Fair point. From what the OP says they don't seem like the most legit outfit out there.
Which is exactly why you should be careful with them.

Also make a complaint to the lending institution. The HKMA requires all authorised institutions, e.g. licenced banks, deposit taking companies, to submit quarterly reports on the number of complaints received against the debt collection agencies they use.

Sadly as I described, it wasn't a loan my relative took. It was a business deal gone bad. His partner is seeking compensation.

    No you haven't missed.

It's a question I've been trying to get answered.

I am speculating they had been ransacking my relative's belongings. I can't reach him to confirm either.

Been in touch with other relatives who faced the debt collectors. They said the debt collectors have been stealing his mails and forcing locks.

Your uncle has 'disappeared', they are ransacking his belongings....do you know where the airport is? Because I'd be making a complaint to the police and getting out of the country for a couple of weeks. At least until someone tracks down your uncle and gets to the bottom of what is going on.
