    Copywriting, Editing and Proofreading

Hi all. I've been asked to do some proofreading for an up and coming magazine in HK (possibly some copywriting/editing too). While I've got experience of all three, this is the first time I'll be charging. Would appreciate guidance on the current rates for such work. Thanks, Sharon.

Just started looking into contracting/hiring freelance copywriters/editors, so to give you a “demand-side” perspective, maybe you should decide whether you will charge based on wordcount/pagecount or on a time-basis (hourly rate? day-rate?). Maybe different pricing structure for different types of work.

(Disclaimer: this is based on very preliminary email conversations with a couple of freelancers)
