    Expense Tracking app

I am looking at an expense tracking app to share with my wife. The key requirements are that it can be synced across multiple devices and that it allows for UNEVEN spend by default. This is the real sticking point , may expenses apps don't allow for uneven spend by default. I don't need anything that links to bank accounts / credit cards (because I am not in the USA, none of these will work anyway!) or anything that tracks income / budget.

In addition, ideally I would like it to be cross platform (i.e. support both ios and Android). I am presently using "Settle Up" and generally it is fine, however it is lacking in a few areas, namely being able to set up regular recurring payments and also being able to break down spend type (for example showing how much spending is going to rent, bills, going out, etc).

Any suggestions would be very welcome!!

Not sure what you mean by Uneven spend, but I've been using YNAB for while. Every month you set a spending target and allocate how much money you allow yourself to spend on each category.

    Uneven, i.e. non 50/50 split.

Basically its to track our family expenses, but because I earn more I contribute more to our overall spend.

Dollarbird might be what you're looking for - team / family expense tracker, but its not free if you want shared spending.

For the right app, I'm willing to pay for it.

Don't have any experience there. YNAB tracks how much you're earning each month and how much is spent and doesn't ask who is responsible for what amount. I supposed it built around budgeting for one person or one family as a unit. It's quite popular and I've seen a number of forums with dedicated threads. So someone may have a solution for your needs.

Just get a joint account, spend carefully and whats left at the end of the month is yours (plural)?

This looks good, similar to Mint in the US. It pulls your credit card transactions and then classifies them by category.
