Thinking of creating an Online Freelance Marketplace for Buyers and Sellers to meet.

    Hello Geoexpat community,

Thinking of creating a web based platform in the Freelance industry similar to Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer, etc...

How many Expats are there currently working on these platforms as a Freelancer either part-time or full time?

Would there be such a demand for the Asia market? And which service category would be the most popular?

    Thanks,
    FreelanceAnyone?

The premise of internet is that anyone can use it from anywhere. Online marketplaces like fiverr etc. have many users (both buyers and service providers) in APAC, expats included. Depends on what you're looking for and what services you're offering on such platforms.

Most of these platforms tend to be IoT related in my view.

'Freelance' is not an industry - it's a working relationship/method... Upwork targets mostly software development/design/etc. while Fiverr is much more general. What do you have that they don't already provide?

    Agree with this question.
What would make it specific to the Asia market? And make we want to find a freelancer there as opposed to Upwork? Unless it's a service where I need that person to be close geographically or culturally.
