They overbuilt during the pandemic - but this delivery network is a huge moat for them. A lot more than 400 will go when they figure out how to automate these warehouses more - Amazon has 1.5+M workers - very different from the other tech companies.
Walmart have finalised realised they have a world class fulfilment and last mile delivery capability that needed stitching up with sellers.
