Really appreciate the info Deleted. Nah won't insure watch, it's not expensive at all, just don't wear it and prefer not to keep it in the apartment.
As for 3rd party, good point about bank opening and maintaining account balances.

Why not buy a safe for use at home? You can get relatively decent ones that don't cost too much, are too heavy to easily cart away and have a combination keypad / lock system.
