Wonder if police will storm in during the talks and arrest the students.
I wonder if the talks are widely known about in the Mainland, and if they are, how is it squared with the 'illegal' nature of the protesters who are under "foreign influence", and to cap it all, they are not even speaking in the Common Speech, but some dialect from the south!
1) the English RTHK stream has bandwidth issues .. go figure.
2) The woman doing the translation is not of a high quality.
Apparently they are on tv on the mainland but only the gov side is presented. The screen goes black when the students speak.
Has CY's concerns about poor people been mentioned yet?
Carrie Lam seems the "Jam Tomorrow" is a good strategy. Don't think that's going to work. She seems to think that the democratic process is a continuing improving trend, when it is in fact a DECLINING process. That's a fact as it stands.
If it is reported on the mainland (and that is a big if), I bet they will spin it to such an extent to say the HK government has shown their graciousness and understanding by gracing the protesters with their presence, and the students, awed by the majesty of the government officials, meekly accept the government's offers and recant their errors.
Hey, I should ask the CCTV to hire me as a script-writer!
Wonder why they haven't brought up CY's view on poor people voting.
